POP Account Update
If you plan to continue to use POP for incoming messages, you will need to make the following updates to your existing email account setup in your email application after we let you know the hosting has moved:
Account Name: (however you want to identify the account for your own purposes, can stay the same)
Email Address: eat0@eau0eav0eaw0
Mail Server Username: name+domain.org (note the plus sign instead of an "at" sign)
Mail Server Password: same as your old password, or the new one we sent you
You can choose to use the secure or non-secure mail server settings. It's your choice.
Mail Server settings - Non-Secure Option
Incoming Mail Server: mail.domain.org
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.domain.org (server requires authentication) port 2525 (unless you are using your ISP's outgoing servers - see below!)
Mail Server settings - Secure Option
Incoming Mail Server: (SSL) coppercup.webserversystems.com
Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL) coppercup.webserversystems.com (server requires authentication) port 465 (unless you are using your ISP's outgoing servers - see below!)
Be sure to set the port numbers in the outgoing server settings, which is usually in an Advanced tab or Advanced Settings area in the mail server settings pane. The Outgoing Mail Server "authentication" is the same username and password as the account.
If you are using your internet service provider's (ISP) outgoing servers (att, cableone, or whatnot) you will leave the outgoing server settings as they were.
Webmail access - to browse your mail from a web browser, go to...
username (name+domain.org) and password
…for e-mail access via any browser. If you have your POP account set to automatically delete messages from the server, you will only be able to see the messages that have not yet been auto deleted on whatever schedule you have your email client set to delete them (the last week, last 3 days, what-not.)
