This program will provide and overview to the Oklahoma Governor’s Workforce Development Council initiative to create a portable workforce credential in Oklahoma and explain the use of WorkKeys as an assessment tool used to evaluate applicants for credentials.

Bio:
He is the South Central Oklahoma Regional Coordinator for the Oklahoma Governor's Council for Workforce Development Careers Ready Certificate Pilot Project which is topic for today.

Kevin Henson is a business and industry services coordinator with Great Plains Technology Center. Working with the technology center's instructional staff, and the resources of the statewide network of technology centers, he coordinates and provides customized training programs and services for businesses and industry.

He holds master's degree in Instructional Psychology from the University of Oklahoma, and is a graduate professor of Human Resources Management at Webster University.

His professional interests include the application of adult learning principles to long-term and short-term training situations, instructional systems design, human resources management, and knowledge-based continuous quality improvement programs.
