Jason L. Eliot

Jason L. Eliot is an attorney in the employment law department of the Whitten, Nelson, McGuire, Terry & Roselius law firm found at employmentarmor.com.  Mr. Eliot received his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Economics from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, after studying in London, England, through the Institute of European Studies.  He received his Juris Doctorate from the Washington and Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia, where he was a Burkes Scholar, an instructor in Legal Research and Writing, and where he met his beautiful wife, Traci.

Following graduation, Mr. Eliot immediately joined a large defense law firm in Oklahoma City where his practice focused exclusively on the representation of management in employment and human resource matters.  In early 2000, Mr. Eliot became Legal Counsel for human resource and employment law matters for INTEGRIS Health, Inc., the largest health system and one of the largest employers in the state of Oklahoma with ten hospitals, numerous physician’s clinics and over seven thousand employees across the state.  During his time with INTEGRIS, he advised each facility with respect to any and all employment law or human resource issues including representation before state and federal agencies such as the EEOC, OHRC and DOL.  Mr. Eliot joined the Whitten Nelson law firm in early 2006.

Mr. Eliot has spoken on employment law and other business related topics from the ADA to Wrongful Termination across the state of Oklahoma from Miami to Madill and many places in between.  He is a regular instructor for the Council on Education in Management and has spoken to the Oklahoma Bar Association on employment law.  He has served as an adjunct professor in Macroeconomics at the Oklahoma State University at Oklahoma City and guest lectured on employment law for a Cameron University Business Law course.  Mr. Eliot is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and American Bar Associations’ Labor and Employment Law Section and the American Bar Association’s Health Law Section.

Mr. Eliot has a wonderful wife and two great children, Joshua and Abigail.  He is very involved with his Church, the First Presbyterian Church of Edmond, and has served on the Board of Directors of Citizens Caring for Children, a United Way agency supporting the unique needs of foster children in Oklahoma.
